Update on Abu & Simba!

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

Abu & Simba, our Lions, are enjoying their large enclosure area very much! Yesterday we went in the enclosure with them to give them some exercise and interaction. Oh boy are they a handful! These boys are full of energy and never run out of batteries! Lions, especially males are usually very lazy, but not these lions! The minute we walked into their enclosure they immediate started to run up to us, and were jumping, diving, rolling, you name it. We love to see the energy they show us because we truly know they are happy. Abu and Simba still have a lot of growing to do, and we can’t wait for their manes to come in! If you would like to see more photos of Abu & Simba as they’ve grown up, then please visit their gallery.

Saturday, May 5th, 2012

Indah the Binturong is doing great at our facility! She is getting very large, and LOVES to eat bananas and apples. We took Indah out exploring today, and she loved it. Her favorite part was climbing up the trees and partly hanging with her prehensile tail. To view more photos of Indah, then please visit Indah’s Gallery.

A Precious Treasure Was Born This Past Tuesday!

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

Meet Sahima! The newborn white tiger cub. Sahima is a beautiful bundle of joy. She was a surprise to all of us this past Tuesday (4/17/12) when she was born! Unfortunately, the mother rejected her, therefore we have stepped in, and she is doing amazing! What an active and alert cub she is. She is an amazing and tiny creature and we can’t wait to watch her grow. More photos of her will be coming soon.

Tuesday, April 17th, 2012

We recently attended the “Earth Day Festival” at Pinecrest Gardens! The outcome was fantastic! We had live animal presentations, and we also had animal photo sessions! Everyone thought our animal shows were great, and we also had many people take photos with our many different animals after the show! Pinecrest gardens is a beautiful area, and the Earth Day Festival turned out very nice. Some animals we brought to the event were our capuchins, binturong, lemur, python, crocodile, tiger cub, gibbons, and a few more! To view more photos of the event then visit our Earth Day 4/15/12 Gallery.

Indah The Binturong & Ramses The Bull Terrier!

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Here we have Indah the Binturong, and Ramses the Bull Terrier! Indah is growing very quickly, and now she found a new playmate to play with. It’s such a cute thing to watch when they start playing with eachother. Even though Ramses the Bull Terrier is so much more larger the Indah, he still knows how to be gentle and makes sure not to hurt Indah at all. These two are sure a strange animal pair, but for now it works! Indah will continue to grow and if you would like to meet Indah in person then come by for a private tour! To view more information about the tours we offer, then please visit our tours page.

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Here we have Shanti the Golden Tabby Tiger Cub, and one of our animal handlers (Morgan), and of course the adorable and lovely Jala next to them! Shanti’s name means calm and peaceful, and it certainly suits her! Shanti is exactly that, a very calm and peaceful animal that loves to play and never complains. We work with Shanti each day and she loves to go for her outdoor walks/playtime. You can visit Shanti on a private tour here! Visit our tours page for more info.

Monkeying Around!

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

On the Left of the photo is Marley and to the right is Sativa, and they are both White-Handed Gibbons! Today we caught them “Monkeying Around”. Also if you notice above them is a new play dome jungle gym that we recently installed in there. They really enjoy using that thing! These primates can really teach you a thing or two on how to really play on a jungle gym. In the wild, Gibbons spend most of their life in the tree-tops and swinging from branch to branch ( The term is called brachiating). To view more photos of Marley then visit Marley’s Gallery OR to view more photos of Sativa, then please visit Sativa’s Gallery.
