Sharon and Shannon were recent visitors to the Zoological Wildlife Foundation, here is what they had to say about their experience here!

“This was the most amazing experience, I would love to visit again, certainly take you up on that.

We recently had two new visitors here, Naima and AJ! They are friends of ZWF and had a very wonderful experience interacting with “Titan” our bengal tiger. All of us at ZWF hope they enjoyed their visit here. Interacting with animals is an amazing experience, at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation, you are able to be up close and personal with the animals and have an experience like no other. Nabha is a big girl now! Nabha is our Tiger Cub. She spends her time in an enclosure with our two lion cubs “Simba & Abu”.  Nabha is growing more and more each day! Cylcone our Cougar Cub was enjoying his outdoor playtime, while getting into the Christmas Spirit playing with his Santa hat! Cyclone continues to grow and loves to play with one of our Caucasian Mountain Dogs, as well as a French Bulldog named Maggie! White-handed gibbons brachiate, or swing by the arms, from branch to branch horizontally and vertically. Their long, strong arms enable them to quickly change direction in flight and to catch a handhold if they fall.

Titan was getting into the Christmas Spirit by putting on this Santa hat! Titan is a big sweetheart but as sweet as he may be he is still a Bengal Tiger! The photo above shows Demetrius enjoying his new Tiki Enclosure! Demetrius is our Giant Anteater. He is settling in to his cage quite nicely and there still are a few improvements to be done! Say hello to G! G is a baby white-handed gibbon. Unlike Marley, his coloration is all black, whereas Marley is blonde in color. G is enjoying his days at ZWF and gets constant attention! To view more photo of him then visit G’s Gallery.

Meet Cyclone the Cougar Cub!  Cyclone just arrived at ZWF and he is settling in perfectly! He is full of energy and loves to play with you as soon as you walk into the room. Cougars are great jumpers.  They cat leap vertically over 16 feet, and horizontally more than 45 feet. The head of the cat is round and the ears erect. Its powerful forequarters, neck, and jaw serve to grasp and hold large prey. It has five retractable claws on its fore paws (one a dewclaw) and four on its hind paws. The larger front feet and claws are adaptations to clutching prey.
