During a Video Shoot on 4/23/12 at Boynton Beach, FL with our Tiger Cub “Shanti” and two handlers Noberto Gonzalez & Chelsea Rekis, we had a few unexpected visitors who made the experience that much more memorable! We would like to thank the Boynton Beach Police Department for their kind words, and also their assistance and helpfulness during the shoot. We thank you for that.

“Meet the newest member of the @bbpd K9 Unit! Just Kidding This 8-month-old golden tabby tiger (pictured here with Sgt. Wessendorf) was spotted in Boynton Beach yesterday with some people who were filming a music video. Our animal control investigator verified that the tiger’s handler was there and that they had all the proper paperwork and permits for it. The tiger was rented for the music video through the Zoological Wildlife Foundation in Miami. Not something you see every day in Boynton Beach!”

Meet Sahima! The newborn white tiger cub. Sahima is a beautiful bundle of joy. She was a surprise to all of us this past Tuesday (4/17/12) when she was born! Unfortunately, the mother rejected her, therefore we have stepped in, and she is doing amazing! What an active and alert cub she is. She is an amazing and tiny creature and we can’t wait to watch her grow. More photos of her will be coming soon.

We recently attended the “Earth Day Festival” at Pinecrest Gardens! The outcome was fantastic! We had live animal presentations, and we also had animal photo sessions! Everyone thought our animal shows were great, and we also had many people take photos with our many different animals after the show! Pinecrest gardens is a beautiful area, and the Earth Day Festival turned out very nice. Some animals we brought to the event were our capuchins, binturong, lemur, python, crocodile, tiger cub, gibbons, and a few more! The Zoological Wildlife Foundation was part of a Moroccan inspired Event on October 23rd, 2011. This was a birthday celebration, as well as a celebration for cancer survival. We brought Our Tufted Capuchin (Angie), and our Young Dromedary Camel (Aladdin). Teresita, who booked us for this event, wanted to share these wonderful photos she had from the event. We made a gallery with all the photos included, and we wanted to blog the photos to share them with everyone. Thank you Teresita, we are so glad that you were happy with the outcome of the event and thank you for sharing these wonderful photos with us as well! The Zoological Wildlife Foundation, was on set at Univision for their filming of “El Gordo Y La Flaca”. We brought along our Kangaroo as part of a surprise for their show! Our Kangaroo is named “Marvin” and everyone absolutely loved him. Marvin was a star on the show and got so much attention. He was there for a short amount of time and later went right back to his large enclosed area at our foundation. The photos above were taken with the hosts of the show and our Kangaroo “Marvin”. Indah, our new baby Binturong, went outside for some outdoor exploring/playtime. She was a bit timid at first when she felt the long grass with her little claws, but after a while she got used to her surroundings and explored for a little. She really enjoyed laying in one of her favorite blankets, and just feeling the outdoor breeze as she tried to take a nap. She is such an adorable animal! Lions Playing in Their New Enclosure At ZWF!

The Zoological Wildlife Foundation was part of a Moroccan themed event at Agadir Moroccan Cuisine Restaurant! We brought Larry the camel with us for the event, and everyone loved him! FFWC Lt. Patrick Reynolds had a retirement party thrown in his honor here at our ZWF Facility! There was many FFWC and wildlife officials at the celebration. It was a very special honor for us to host this event at our facility. We had our tiger cubs and primates out for photo ops, and everyone had a great time! As stated in a previous blog post, we had a very nice Christmas Party held here at The Zoological Wildlife Foundation!
