Abu & Simba, our Lions, are enjoying their large enclosure area very much! Yesterday we went in the enclosure with them to give them some exercise and interaction. Oh boy are they a handful! These boys are full of energy and never run out of batteries! Lions, especially males are usually very lazy, but not these lions! The minute we walked into their enclosure they immediate started to run up to us, and were jumping, diving, rolling, you name it. We love to see the energy they show us because we truly know they are happy. Abu and Simba still have a lot of growing to do, and we can’t wait for their manes to come in! Happy Birthday Antoinette! As you can see in the photo above, Antoinette enjoyed a little cupcake for her birthday celebration this past Saturday. She just turned a year old! Her birthday is 5/12. We had a little photo-shoot session with her and her birthday outfit, as she enjoyed her cupcake. Antoinette is a very sweet Tufted Capuchin monkey, and we all love her here. Donna the tufted Capuchin, was enjoying her monkey biscuit as she played in the rain this afternoon, with her two other friends, who are also capuchin monkeys. Donna is very intelligent, and as you can see from the photo above, she is very curious and loves to inspect everything especially electronic devices! This past Saturday (5/12/12) The ZWF Staff took out Malinka the Ligress, and Titan the Bengal Tiger for their routine training and exercise! We also got to get a few very nice updated shots with some of the staff members and the big cats! You can see how much the cats and staff love each and also show a mutual respect for eachother. We are so happy we got to capture these great moments on camera so we can cherish these memories forever. Titan and Malinka are part of our private tours! Would you like to meet them in person too? Sahima our white Tiger Cub is growing up very quickly! It seems as if just yesterday she was only opening her eyes. She already shows her own individual personality, and is very calm and sweet by nature. She loves to be interacted with, and plays with a young Bernese Mountain Dog during the day (she usually uses him as a large pillow to take her naps). She is truly a special creature. You can meet Sahima in person on one of our very private and special tours! Yes, that’s right, you can actually meet our baby tiger cub in person and spend some time with her! We love to see the happy and excited faces of people who have always dreamed to be in the presence of a tiger cub. It is a great pleasure to make the dreams of many people come true on one of our tours. Maria and Chelsea appeared once again on “El Show De Fernando Hidalgo”, to speak about the animals they brought along this time. The Zoological Wildlife Foundation was part of a large Cinco De Mayo block party event on Saturday evening. We brought our Donkey “Pancho” to the event! Pancho the Donkey was an absolute hit with the crowds of people. Many people got to stand beside Pancho and pose for photos. Pancho definitely brought everyone into the Cinco De Mayo spriit, and I’m sure this is one Cinco De Mayo event people will not forget! The Zoological Wildlife Foundation was part of a very special birthday event. We brought along Shanti our Tiger Cub! The event was a great success, and Shanti definitely made this birthday event that much more memorable. The Zoological Wildlife Foundation was part of a huge event on Star Island, for Thomas Kramer (for his very large and extravagant birthday). We brought two camels for the Moroccan themed event, and everyone seemed like they enjoyed themselves very much! We were glad to be a part of such a large and beautiful event. In the photo above, we have Morgan (one of our handlers) taking the camel for a stroll, while Andrea (another zwf handler) was sitting on the camel as Morgan took him around the property. This is just daily extra exercise and training activities that we do here at our facility. ZWF does a variety of events, and our camels are quite popular!
