Victoria is our latest baby White-Faced Capuchin
She was born in our facility on August 23, 2008.
Sophia, our White-Faced Capuchin Monkey, above, feeding herself.. with much patience and everyday hands-on feeding and care. Sophia has managed to learn new techniques, like holding her own bottle..
Capuchins, indeed, are a highly intelligent animal. So smart they are, they are even used for servicing humans with disabilities.
Capuchin monkeys are thought how to be the arms and legs for people who have lost the use of theirs. The monkeys are trained to do things like take food from the refrigerator and heat it up in the microwave. etc..
Its been 38 years, Melchor, Baltazar and Gaspar have been parading down 8th street. Maintaining alive the Hispanic tradition. Thrilling children and adults equally during the “Three King’s Parade”.
We were honored to be a part of the Hispanic Tradition.
