Derby is a Bennett Wallaby. He resides with us at Zoological Wildlife Foundation. Derby is now extremely happy since he now has a mate and soon enough Z. W .F. will have baby wallabies as well. Don’t go crazy searching out site for his mate, she will be make her first appearance next week as our new recent addition for the week. Derby’s mate is about a year and a half old her name has been given but no more details will be given here. wallabies are mainly solitary but will gather together when there’s an abundance of resources such as food, water or shelter. When they do gather in groups, they have a social hierarchy similar to other wallaby species. Wallabies are mainly crepuscular. They spend most of the daytime resting in vegetation.
